Ayase nodded soflty. “I understand why… You are always planning on our missions and it’s never easy…”

She could feel her cheeks flush dark pink as soon as Gai spoke. She would always react like this near him, and that was a thing that she could not avoid. Still, she tried to keep calm and opened a warm smile. “O-Oh, I’m s-sure it’s just a c-cold, pro-probably…” - she giggled soflty - “It’s just a feverish cold…”

“Yes, that’s right.” Gai replied and chuckled abit. Gai noticed that Ayase’s almost only like that with him, well he didn’t bother with it though. “Maybe. But you shouldn’t be giggling like that, it won’t be good if you did have a fever, Ayase.”

Ayase smiled and lowered her head, hiding the face between her hair. “I’ll be fine, it will pass fast.” - she replied softly.

“Don’t worry Gai..”

Ayase was halfsleep at the common room couch, dreaming with the end of this ridiculous war, when some steps coming closer startled her. She opened one eye slowly, trying to see who that was. However, she didn’t see anyone, so she just closed it up again with a big yawn. A moment later, she felt bothered, with a odd presence in the room, almost like she was feeling the weight of the gaze upon her. She opened her eyes widely, only to shout in a unexpected way.

“S-S-Shu!!” - she blushed incontrably and leaned against the couch back - “W-What are you doing here?!”
